Dr. Deema Alathel

Dr. Deema Alathel is an Executive Director for Global Strategic Initiatives, specializing in international investment markets. At IBM since 2019, she has progressed through several leadership roles before becoming Global Director for Client and Product Advocacy at IBM headquarters in 2024. Her expertise spans artificial intelligence, automation, security, and cloud services. Previously, she served as CIO at KSU’s female campus and consulted for various Saudi government agencies.   Forbes recognized her in 2020 as one of the world’s leading women in AI. Alathel holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science with AI specialization from the George Washington University and serves on multiple university and bank boards.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​   Serves with the boards of Princess Noura University and SAB Awwal Bank.  represented Saudi Arabia at the UN Human Rights Commission
